It has become customary for most of the news outlets to leave audiences with messy news and views. Stories most often get dubious distinction. And people get confused with the distorted realities. Finally tehelka emerged. When stingy news sources starts simmering down, tehelka springs up to give an edge to the mess.
Some of the prominent exposes of tehelka include Jessica Lall murder case, foreign pedophiles in Goa, Best Bakery case, the ambushing of witnesses of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the scandal of Dera Sacha Sauda, the fixing of the Sanjay Dutt trial, the siphoning off by officials of foodgrains meant for the poor, , the medical racket at the Agra asylum, the child murders in Nithari and many more.

However, I believe, media is not without the influence of a sort or other. Somehow it is inclined to its own interests, tastes or goals. In a country like India, we are yet to reach to an arena where media reflects truth. Objective journalism is still in books and theory and is constantly being taught to students across all institutes in India.
Still better!!
Hats off to tehelka.
